Chicago looks to avoid a deep 3-1 series deficit.

New York had allowed 10 goals in the previous two games before routing the Lighting at Amalie Arena in Game 4 with a 5-1 win that evened the series at 2-2. The key was that their stars all shined; Martin St. Louis and Rick Nash both found the back of the net to snap slumps while goalie Henrik Lundqvist turned in one of his best performances of the playoffs.
But despite the setback, the Lightning don’t sound too concerned about losing their grip on the series. After all, they’ve already proven they can outscore the Rangers while containing their many offensive threats at the same time.
“You can’t keep giving up so many goals. I think that’s the main thing,” Lightning center Valtteri Filppula said. “I think we spent a lot of time in their zone, had a lot of good chances and should have scored a few more goals. Obviously, that’s the plan. But I don’t think we need to change too many things, just play a little bit better defensively.”
