Blackhawks score in Game 4 after referee trips up Ducks defenseman

Whoops.

If the Anaheim Ducks end up losing Game 4 by one goal, they'll be pointing fingers at one referee for his unfortunate timing in the first period.

In the final minute of the first frame, the Ducks and Blackhawks were busy battling for the puck along the boards in the Ducks' offensive zone. Chicago managed to chip the puck out to Brandon Saad, but it appeared that Anaheim's Francois Beauchemin was well-positioned to give chase.

Until a referee tripped him up.

And with nobody but center Ryan Kesler to chase him, Saad was off to the races and gave Chicago an early 1-0 lead.

Oops.
