Dylan Larkin's recent slump just might be over. The rookie hadn't scored in his last five games, allowing other first years such as No. 2 overall pick Jack Eichel to creep back into the conversation. Not so fast, Mr. Eichel, as Larkin has retaken the rookie scoring lead on Monday, and he made it look easy.

— Stephanie (@myregularface) January 5, 2016 Devils goaltender Cory Schneider bit on Larkin's head fake as the rookie forward dipped the shoulder to one side to start the sequence. The rookie instead went the other way while Schneider was powerless as his momentum carried him to the opposite side of the cage. Larkin finished the deke with a simple flip to the backhand as he tucked the puck home just inside the goal post.
