It's not the flashiest of goals, but Jarome Iginla will most definitely take it. Iginla netted his 600th career NHL goal in the third period of the Avalanche's 4-1 win against the Kings on Monday. In 19 seasons with over 1,400 career games played, Iginla is just the 19th player in NHL history to hit the 600 mark.
Jarome Iginla becomes 19th player in NHL history to score 600 goals
A well-deserved honor for a beloved player.

While this power play tally might have come off of Iginla's stick, he wasn't the last player to touch it. Jake Muzzin of the Kings was actually the last person to get a body part on the puck as it deflected off his skate and past Jhonas Enroth. Iginla didn't need to be on the ice on the power play with the Avalanche up 3-1 late against Los Angeles, but Colorado was done waiting for the veteran to hit the milestone.
The goal puts Iginla one tally behind Jari Kurri, who is No. 18 on the list of all-time scorers across the NHL.
