Noted Devils grinder Bobby Farnham becomes sudden sniper against Bruins

The role of the fourth line bruiser has quietly been making a swift exit from the league as the NHL moves toward speed and skill over brute toughness. However, if Bobby Farnham keeps up this scoring pace, he just might stick around.

Since getting traded from the Penguins after the first month of the season with no points, Farnham surprisingly has picked up a career-high six goals and an assist while averaging nine and a half minutes per night. The fourth liner has three goals in his last six games, and now has the Devils' first goal against the Bruins on Friday evening.

Jonas Gustavsson, and probably everyone in that building, was fooled by Farnham's incredible shot on the rush. The Bruins defense rightfully thought they could get away with that much space, but never again will they give Farnham that kind of time.

For the record, Farnham now has half the goals Sidney Crosby has this year in 15 fewer games played.
