Today we are releasing new user profile pages across the SB Nation network. This provides a better way to view all of your contributions across the network and learn more about other users.
New and expanded user profiles are live
User profiles now include activity feeds

The top section of the profile gives an overview of the user and is always visible to everyone:
- Join dates have been updated to use the oldest data we have (back to 2004 for communities that started then)
- Almost 1M legacy Fanposts have been migrated to The Feed
- Post count includes legacy Fanposts + Feed posts
- Comment count includes current and legacy comments systems plus replies on The Feed
Profiles now also include a user’s activity broken into three sections:
- Feed Posts: All of a user’s Feed posts plus legacy Fanposts.
- Feed Replies: All comments on The Feed
- Article Comments: All comments on article pages
In your account settings you can control the activity other users can see. The Posts tab is public by default, while all replies and comments are private by default. A user can see all activity on their own profile regardless of the chosen privacy settings.
In addition to the profile updates, we will soon be rolling out a new Preferences section in account settings with two new options specific to The Feed:
- Ignore users: You can choose to hide a user’s activity. This will hide all of their replies as well as new posts on /feed (e.g. bleedinggreennation.com/feed).
- Note: It will not hide that user’s posts from the homepage or other promotional areas
- Hide embeds: A user can choose to have all embeds collapsed with a button to unfurl them
As always, we’re happy to answer any questions or take feedback in the comments below.
