On most weekends, it would be safe to say that Cagliari wouldn't fancy a trip to the San Siro to take on Inter. After all, the nerazzurri just broke Juventus's million-match unbeaten run two weeks ago, they sit in second in Serie A, and are, well, Inter. A bit intimidating for the Sardinians.

Under Ivo Pulga, Cagliari have pulled themselves up into 11th, but have just one point from their last two matches. They’ll be determined to make an impression against an injury-ravaged Inter.
But the match comes at a good time for the visitors. After doing the impossible and beating Juve, Inter fell to Atalanta last weekend, 3-2. Part of the blame for the loss can be attributed to the long list of injuries plaguing the nerazzurri. Due to a lack of fit defenders, Esteban Cambiasso deputized in the back last weekend. Andrea Ranocchia should be fit this week, but Walter Samuel is still out -- a weakness that Cagliari should do their best to exploit.
The rossoblu were in a fine run of form, winning four matches straight, until they ran up against quality opposition. Fiorentina tore them apart, 4-1, then Catania came to town and held Cagliari to a draw. They'll be looking to re-establish themselves as a decent side, rather than one battling relegation while saddled with a crazy owner. Massimo Cellino won't just vanish, but a win over Inter would go a long way toward proving Cagliari's worth.
