John Carew’s 15 day trial at Inter Milan has finished before it could get started, due to concerns over his fitness.

The 33-year-old Norwegian was all set for a two week trial period, but after not playing for eight months, the club have pulled the plug.
A statement released by the club read: "F.C. Internazionale would like to thank Norwegian striker John Carew for the willingness and professionalism he has shown.
“His present physical condition however would require him to undergo a rather lengthy period of specific individual fitness work which is not compatible with the needs of the club.”
While Carew didn’t get to link-up with the Nerazzurri, his agent Per Arne Flod refused to rule out a return to Football down the line for his client.
He said: “John is physically fine, he has no injuries and the first tests showed no type of problem with his physical structure.
“Clearly, having been out for eight months, he might lack match fitness. He is ready to give his all. He is an experienced player and, if given the opportunity, will prove all his worth.”
