Parma Vs. Sampdoria, Preview: A chance for Samp to get back to winning ways

Sampdoria have lost their last two matches, but were previously undefeated in five. They should manage all three points against Parma, who have won just one.

Sampdoria have a chance to get back on track with their visit to Parma. 'Doria started the season wonderfully, particularly for a just promoted side, with three wins followed by two draws. Then came an unsurprising loss to Napoli, followed by a rather upsetting one to Chievo Verona. But against Parma, they have to be considered favorites.

Parma still haven't managed to recover from the loss of Sebastian Giovinco, their top goalscorer last season. They've scored just six goals thus far, all coming from different players. Their defense hasn't been horrible, and they manage to grab goals at the end of matches, when their opposition's defenses are down. But they still haven't really figured out how to create, and the lack of inspiration leaves them in 15th.

Parma Injuries and Suspensions:

Fabiano Santacroce and Raffaele Palladino (injured), Yohan Benalouane and Alessandro Lucarelli (suspended)

Sampdoria Injuries and Suspensions:

Nicola Pozzi, Andrea Poli, Simon Poulsen and Pedro Obiang (injured), Daniele Gastaldello and Junior da Costa (suspended)

Match Date / Time: Sunday, October 21 at 3 p.m. local time, 9 a.m. ET

Venue: Stadio Ennio Tardini, Parma

TV: BeIN Sport en Español (USA), Sky Calcio 5 (Italy). No, I don’t know how they chose this match for Spanish coverage.
