A set piece from Ipswich Town's right flank produced the first notable moment of Arsenal's Carling Cup semifinal second leg. A ball put today the back post, swinging out at 12 yards from goal, brought Gunners keeper Wojciech Szczesny off his line. When the young Polish `keeper jumped for the ball and collided with Bacary Sagna, the cross also indirectly sent Arsenal's right back out of the back.

Sagan was noticeably groggy when getting treatment, down for minutes on the pitch before momentarily attempting to continue. Within second Emmanuel Eboué was in the match, the French international unable to continue after taking his own `keeper’s foreheads to his head.
