Raul Meireles has managed to beat the linesman's flag, but didn't beat David Stockdale with a bullet header. Fulham's defence stood down as a cross was swung into the box, leaving the midfielder to bullet a header home - or nearly, anyway. Everyone on the pitch was expecting for it to find the back of the net, and Martin Skrtel even started celebrating, but Fulham's young goalkeeper got down very quickly to his right and managed to scramble the shot behind for a corner.

From said corner, Liverpool again went close after Steven Gerrard's precise far post delivery was headed at speed into the side netting. Much to the dismay of the crowd, those don't count. Liverpool are still on the attack, though - Fernando Torres has just produced what was possibly the most woeful overhead kick attempt in the entire history of football, and Gerrard's long range effort from a central position left Stockdale with relatively little to do. The home side are very much on the front foot, however, and might already be 2-0 up.
