Real Madrid Vs. Real Betis, 2011 La Liga: Full Time, Gonzalo Higuain Scores Another Hat Trick

Hey, guys. I think Pipita's knee injury healed. The Real Madrid striker netted his third hat trick in four matches (not a typo) on Saturday afternoon against Real Betis, guiding his team to an easy 4-1 victory. Betis held Los Blancos scoreless in the opening 45 minutes, but Pipita netted right after the break, causing the floodgates to open. Higuain scored a hat trick in Madrid's last league match and also netted three times against Chile while playing for Argentina just over a week ago.

Neither shots or possession were much of a problem at the Bernabeu on Saturday, much to the surprise of absolutely no one. Madrid were neither brilliant or poor in the first half, and while the 0-0 score at the break wasn’t an injustice or anything along those lines, it was pretty obvious that a Madrid goal or four was on the way.

Pipita scored his first just a minute into the second half, scoring a relatively easy chance that was put on a silver platter for him for Cristiano Ronaldo. That effectively ended the game in the 46th minute, but Higuain scored a couple more for good measure, along with Kaka. Jorge Molina thought he would make things a bit interesting with a 69th minute goal following Kaka's strike, but that just made Higuain angry and accomplished literally nothing, as the Argentinian scored seconds later in the 70th, then added a third in the 73rd because he felt like it.
