Nobody really expected Racing Genk to give Chelsea much of a match at Stamford Bridge. Well, they haven't. The Blues have completely dominated their Belgian visitors, scoring twice in the first 11 minutes, then adding two more before the break to give themselves a 4-0 lead at halftime. Fernando Torres has been a menace, scoring twice, while Raul Meireles has been at the heart of nearly everything the Blies have had going forward, adding a goal of his own with Branislav Ivanovic adding the last goal.
Chelsea Vs. Racing Genk Live, 2011 UEFA Champions League: Chelsea Cruising, Up 4-0
Meireles made a gorgeous pass to Torres in the seventh minute, but the striker wasted it so he decided to do the scoring on his own a minute later with a strike from 20 yards that found the net. Three minutes later, Frank Lampard slipped Torres in on goal and the Spaniard slotted the ball home to make it 2-0. Torres had one more in him, nodding home from 12 yards on a Meireles cross and Ivanovic wrapped up the first half scoring when he headed home a free kick by Florent Malouda. Poor Genk. This one is over.
