I don't think I can name a less lucky player than Arjen Robben. The former Chelsea and Real Madrid winger is an unholy terror when he plays, capable of ripping defences to absolute shreds on a good day, but he has the unfortunate habit of doing the same to his own body. Last month Robben was forced to undergo surgery for a groin injury, which delayed his return to full health. We remarked then that the setback didn't seem too bad - as long as it wasn't the start of a trend.
Arjen Robben Suffers Another Injury Setback
Well, it was. No sooner had Robben returned to training with Bayern Munich, targetting a return date of Nov. 19th for a key match against Borussia Dortmund than he limped off the pitch with a groin problem. As of right now, we don’t know too many details, but considering he just had surgery on it, that’s not a very good sign at all. We’ll have to wait for further information to figure out how long this will put him out of action, but yeah. It’s no fun to be Arjen Robben right now.
