Fiorentina lost 1-0 at Chievo on Sunday, causing them to slide to 13th place in Serie A. Of course, it's not that single loss that has prompted the rumors that coach Sinisa Mihajlovic will be axed this week. In Florence during the summer, the sports pages were filled almost daily with calls for the head of the Serbian. As the Viola continue to search for consistency, it's clear that Miha's reign must be coming to an end.
Fiorentina Fire Mihajlovic, Appoint Delio Rossi
It is anticipated that Fiorentina will announce the resignation of Sinisa Mihajlovic this week, although nothing is official as of Monday.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the club have already asked for Mihajlovic’s resignation. To absolutely no one’s surprise, the coach refused to go gently into that good Firenze night. I’m not sure if proper negotiations will continue until Miha acquiesces, or if fed up Viola fans will simply storm the gates, wrap him up in an old blanket, and throw him in the Arno. Could go either way, really.
With no official announcement made on Monday, we’ll all be waiting to see what dramatic twists this tale gives.
