Ezequiel Lavezzi sent through a perfect ball to Marek Hamšík, who got himself into scoring position. Out of desperation, Roma defender Juan stuck out a foot and tripped Hamšík, getting rewarded with a yellow card and the whistle. Cavani stepped up to the spot and sent his kick off both posts. The ball cleared the line off the second post, but just to be sure, the Uruguayan charged through and put the ball into the net again.
