The goal of pretty much any team playing away in the first leg of a UEFA Champions League knockout stage is to get a draw and then return home in hopes of taking the tie. Despite their possession and the brilliance of Arjen Robben, Bayern Munich will be happy to get their draw going back to Allianz Arena and they are only in position for that draw because of the heroics of Thoms Kraft in this round of 16 tie against Inter Milan.
Inter Milan Vs. Bayern Munich: Thomas Kraft Wearing His Superman Cape
Munich has had the bunch of possession, but Inter has assaulted the Bayern goal on several occasions, each time only to run into Kraft. The 22-year-old hasn't been the least bit fazed by the stage at the San Siro or the knockout stages of the world's biggest club tournament. In the first half he twice denied Samuel Eto'o on what looked to be certain goals and in the second half he's come out to make key saves, got a hand on a tantalizing cross and been the linchpin at the back of a defense that hasn't been in top form.
With just five minutes to go, Munich remain level with Inter at 0-0 and that’s thanks to Kraft, who has been sensational. The young German is on the verge of sending his club onto the second leg where a home win will move them through to the quarterfinals.
