18th place Wigan don't really have the easiest task in from of them as the champions-elect Manchester United roll into the DW Stadium. Fortunately for the Latics, their job is made somewhat easier thanks to the absence of Dimitar Berbatov, rested by United as preparation for their crunch trip to Stamford Bridge on Tuesday. Unfortunately for the Latics, every other first-choice player available to Sir Alex Ferguson today has been committed to the fray, and that should be more than enough to crush Roberto Martinez's side.

However, United are away, and they have about a game’s worth of competent performance outside of Old Trafford all season. Miraculously, they hadn’t lost until the 2-1 reverse at Molineux earlier this month, but they’ve played very poorly away from home. If United don’t turn up with all guns blazing, plucky Wigan might jsut be able to sneak a point here.
