Newcastle United Vs. Arsenal: Theo Walcott Gives Gunners Lead Over Toon After 40 Seconds

As the Newcastle faithful are just finding their seats at St. James' Park, Theo Walcott has opened the scoring in the first minute. After burning Fabricio Coloccini at pace, Walcott finished well past Steve Harper. In a week which the Toon faithful would rather forget, home fans find their beloved down a goal.

With the departure of Andy Carroll to Liverpool, Alan Pardew has elected to start Peter Lovenkrands and Leon Best up front together. Joey Barton, Kevin Nolan, Jonas Gutierrez and Cheick Tiote round out the midfield and Jose Enrique, Coloccini, Mike Williamson and Danny Simpson round out the back line.

For Arsenal, Robin van Persie and Andrey Arshavin are up front. Cesc Fabregas, Abou Diaby, Jack Wilshere and Walcott are in midfield with Gael Clichy, Johan Djourou, Laurent Koscielny and Bacary Sagna in defense. Wojciech Szczesny starts for Arsenal in goal.
