Newcastle United Vs. Arsenal: Johan Djourou Doubles Arsenal’s Lead After Three Minutes

It seems for now at least that Newcastle are playing hungover football. Either that, or Arsenal are just that damn good. The Gunners have doubled their lead in minute three through a Johan Djourou header from a set piece. Andrey Arshavin sent in a perfect ball that Djourou met in the air and easily beat Steve Harper with. The set piece that produced the game's second goal was awarded when Danny Simpson fouled Cesc Fabregas on the wing.

Things are going no where for the Toon at the moment. The home side look shell-shocked, half asleep and now find themselves in a big hole but still have time on their side. For the moment, Arsenal are looking sharp and rampant every time they move forward. The movement of their forward attacking players has the Newcastle back line confused and unable to deal with their fluidity. At the moment, life without Andy Carroll as a Newcastle player is painful for the Geordie Nation.
