Blackpool are now 3-0 down at home to Wigan Athletic and they're not coming back from this one. This goal hasn't come from a Blackpool throw in or free kick, which I suppose is a positive, but it was still pretty unfortunate. Mohamed Diame recieved the ball about 25 yards from Matthew Gilks' net, cut back onto this left foot after feinting right, and sent a fairly pathetic shot in the general direction of goal which the keeper had covered easily. Covered easily, that is, until it took a horrendous deflection off defender Neil Eardley and trundled into the far corner of the net. It's not clear whether that will be an own goal or given to Diame, but that won't much matter to either side.
