Well, those first 45 minutes could have been a little more exciting. AC Milan went out all guns blazing against Brescia for the first fifteen minutes, but after that full on attack, things settled into a more even give and take. By which I mean, of course, that both sides chipped away at one another's ankles, shins, and shoulders. At one point, just before the whistle blew, Kevin-Prince Boateng actually had his shirt pulled off his torso by a Brescia player, which is about the most blatant case of shirt-pulling inside the box that one could ever hope to see, but no whistle was blown and the match went into the break a scoreless draw.

Milan could have used that penalty, however, since it appears they can’t find a way to put the ball in the net otherwise. Antonio Cassano tried mightily, but despite having a free header couldn’t get the shot on target. Perhaps it’s time to wash the hair, Cassano. As for Brescia, they’ve managed to find an attack, surprisingly enough, but are resorting to much falling over in the box in hopes of that ever-elusive penal.
