Seattle Sounders Vs. Chicago Fire: Zakuani Gets Sounders The Lead Back

So, was this going to be a wide open match? If two goals inside of eight minutes didn't give it away, a third goal in the 24th definitely did the trick. Steve Zakuani used some crafty footwork to work his way in on goal and then slide the ball past Sean Johnson to gives the Sounders the lead that they held for all of 90 seconds earlier in the match. Seattle is now back in front in their bid to get their first win of the season.

With the way this match has gone, there is no reason to believe this will be the last of the goals. The Fire have had a couple chances even though the Sounders have had the better of the play so this match hasn't been all Seattle. The problem for Chicago has been their inability to defend the wings. Seattle's first goal came off a cross and the second came on a blinding run by Zakuani from the wing. O'Brian White has worked well in the center for Seattle and continues to draw the Chicago fire centrally, leaving acres of space for the Sounders outside against a scrambling Chicago defense.
