Seven goals scored between Fiorentina and Udinese, and yet both ESPN 3 and Fox Plus/Fox-whatever-it's-called-available-online are showing AC Milan v Bologna. ESPN3 is also showing Catania v Cagliari, proving once and for all that none of the matches available in the United States have any sort of connection to how interesting the football will be.
Fiorentina 5-2 Udinese: Why Did Anyone Watch AC Milan?
What a match in Florence, though! Juan Vargas kicked off the scoring in the ninth minute, and despite the Viola's recent tendency to play to a boring draw, it just kept going and going, making observers wonder if the two teams had pulled some sort of "Freaky Friday" maneuver. Gaetano D'Agostino before Udinese were able to respond, a great shot by Giampiero Pinzi. But after halftime D'Agostino came back for a second before Kwadwo Asamoah got his foot on a headed pass from Germán Denis, putting the match back in reach for Udinese at 3-2.
Nothing doing, though, as Fiorentina decided to score as many goals against Udinese as they have in their last four matches combined. Alessio Cerci put in another in the 71st minute, but decided he’d like a little dessert as well, bagging his second just a few minutes before the final whistle.
