Landon Donovan does not sound like someone who's packing his bags for a trip to Italy anytime soon. The Los Angeles Galaxy star did not seem particularly interested in rumors that he might be heading to AS Roma on a transfer:

“Don’t waste my time with that,” said a scoffing Donovan to reporters at the Home Depot Center on Thursday morning. “Don’t waste my time guys.”
The rumors seemed to be fueled mostly by the knowledge that American Thomas DiBenedetto is in the process of acquiring the team and has made it known that he wants to bring in an American star. Donovan, being among the biggest name Americans out there, has been prominently mentioned as a possible target. Michael Bradley, currently with Aston Villa, has also been mentioned, but his agent recently said he had yet to be contacted about a possible transfer. Other players rumored to be on DiBenedetto's radar include DaMarcus Beasley, Juan Agudelo and Sacha Kljestan.
