We've reached halftime at the Stadio Olimpico and it's all nil between Lazio and Juventus. Surprisingly enough, Juve haven't conceded, despite the majority of the match being played in their half. Only one real chance for the visitors, a shot by Alessandro Matri which was smothered by Fernando Muslera. The Uruguayan has had very little to do between the sticks for Lazio, so it's quite likely he'll need a double cappuccino to keep himself awake for the next hour.
Lazio Vs. Juventus: Scoreless At Halftime, Lazio Still Have All Eleven Men
To be fair to Juventus, Gigi Buffon hasn’t had a lot to do either, although Lazio have had their fair share of chances. The Juventus defense has been solid -- it’s keeping the ball long enough to form a coherent attack that is the problem. For some reason, the ball keeps getting played up the right flank, through Marco Motta. Considering Gigi Del Delneri’s tendency to replace the defender with Frederik Sorensen at earlier and earlier times, it’s a wonder that Motta even starts at all.
There's been a plethora of goals scored in Serie A this weekend. Do we really have to end Week 35 on such a low? C'mon, Juventus, score -- make next week's matchup between Lazio and Udinese all the more interesting.
