Manchester City Transfer Rumors: City €180M Bid for Cristiano Ronaldo, Says AS

Reports are flying out of Spain that Real Madrid have received two offers for the services of Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester City, the first one in the form of €100M cash and the second with said cash plus Carlos Tevez and Emmanuel Adebayor. All indications are that they're taking this pretty seriously.

City, of course, are denying it - it wouldn't really fit into their 'add depth at a couple of positions' stance from yesterday anyway, and there's no real reason to believe it's true, either. Why would City think Real are prepared to give up their best player, and why would Ronaldo want to go back to Manchester to play for a team there that isn't Manchester United? He did, after all, spend his entire United career pining for a move to Madrid, and now he's there, making excellent money, and being relatively successful.

I’m just not buying this one until we get actual, real quotes from the clubs (that aren’t ‘no this is not true’). Would be pretty exciting, though.
