Premier League Transfer Rumors: Sergio Aguero Comments Send Everyone Into Tizzy

Argentinian forward Sergio 'Kun' Aguero is linked to Premier League clubs all the time anyway, but the transfer rumours have gone into overdrive following Aguero's Monday announcement that he would be leaving Atletico Madrid immediately. Any team that makes a fair offer, apparently is a possibility. To the English media, this means Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea, whereas to most everyone else it means Real Madrid.

Although it's unlikely that Aguero does make his way over to England, he'd represent an intruiging possibility for a number of teams, although out of the top sides it appears that Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur would be the most obvious options - and it's unlikely that Spurs could pony up the gargantuan transfer fee that Aguero's likely to command, even with the announcement that he'll be leaving Atletico.

Chelsea have spent an absurd amount of money on Fernando Torres, Manchester United are already fielding Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez and Dimitar Berbatov, and it strikes me as unlikely that Arsenal and Arsene Wenger would pay an exorbitant amount for a forward. If Carlos Tevez goes elsewhere in the summer, City could be an absolutely perfect fit - and they certainly have the funds to pull that off.
