It’s a slight surprise to see Joao Moutinho start, as he is a booking away from missing the final. Varela, who was believed to be fit, is a surprise exclusion for Porto. Borja Valero was expected to start for Villarreal, but he injured himself in warm-ups and is probably not actually available off the bench.
