Goals by Ricardo Gabriel Alvarez and Ivan Bella were mere exclamation points on a tie that Velez had already won last week.

Velez advance to face Libertad, who have been fantastic in Copa Libertadores but poor domestically. They’re sitting fifth in Paraguay at the moment, but they’re the second seed in Copa, and they’re coming off an impressive victory over Fluminense.
