Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Kevin Doyle looks to be on the verge of a return to training just days after Mick McCarthy's side received a huge boost in the form of a 3-1 win over West Bromwich Albion that took them out of the relegation zone. Doyle's injury, sustained on international duty with the Republic of Ireland, had coincided with a huge did in form for Wolves, and until the win last weekend they looked favourites for relegation.
Kevin Doyle On Verge Of Wolves Return
Now Doyle's making a return to training and may be in line for a return to the squad for the match against Sunderland, although he's not expected to be starting. It wouldn't be totally out of the question for him to play a part in the match, however, especially if Wolves need a goal late in the game. The team is currently in 17th place, just one point ahead of Blackpool and Wigan, and should they lose on Saturday they have a very good chance of finding themselves in the relegation zone with just one match left to play.
