Wolverhampton Transfer Rumors: Wolves Move For Roger Johnson

When Birmingham City's were relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season, a few things were certain. One of those was that their centre half pairing of Roger Johnson and Scott Dann would not be following their club down to the nPower Championship - there were very few good things about that Birmingham team (implausible League Cup win aside), and the defending was one of them.

It comes as no surprise, then, that a top-flight club has confirmed interest in Johnson, with Wolverhampton Wanderers apparently offering £7M for the stalwart defender. According to the Guardian, Birmingham have accepted the Wolves bid and Johnson will now travel to Wolverhampton in order to hammer out personal terms. One imagines that Mick McCarthy will be hoping that the addition of Johnson will bring more luck to his club in terms of avoiding the drop than it did for their midlands rivals.
