VIDEO: Mario Götze Scores Fantastic Goal For Germany Vs. Brazil

If you've never seen Mario Götze play football, that's quite unfortunate. He's an absolutely incredible 19-year-old German international who plays his club football for Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund. He was fantastic for Der BVB last Friday in the Bundesliga opener, and he's duplicated that form Wednesday in a Germany shirt. Watch as Götze combines with Toni Kroos to score a fantastic goal and absolutely rip Brazil apart.

Though it’s just an international friendly, there aren’t enough superlatives for how awesome Germany looked today. Somehow, they only won the match 3-2, but they absolutely took Brazil to the cleaners and the scoreboard is not a fair reflection of what happened on the pitch. Kroos and Götze weren’t the only players who were incredibly brilliant; the entire Germany squad played their tails off.

As for Brazil, it’s not looking so good. They flamed out of Copa America spectacularly and looked terrible for most of today. The good news for them is that they don’t have to qualify for the 2014 World Cup, since they’re hosting it.
