The lengthy Samir Nasri transfer saga is finally over. After months of speculation that the creative midfielder with only one year remaining on his contract would leave Arsenal, he's finally been announced as a Manchester City player via the club's official website. Nasri, a 24-year-old French international, will wear the No. 19 shirt for the Citizens.
Samir Nasri Introduced As A Manchester City Player
According to various reports, the transfer fee is believed to be in the neighborhood of £24 million. Nasri will also get a significant raise over his previous wages at Arsenal and may come close to doubling his previous salary.
Thanks to Nasri's arrival at Eastlands, it's likely that Englishmen Adam Johnson and James Milner are going to struggle to find regular time in the starting lineup when both Nasri and his fellow creative wide player/attacking midfielder David Silva are healthy. City's depth was already fantastic, but the addition of Nasri makes it absolutely astonishing.
