Wolverhampton Wanderers and Queens Park Rangers looked as if they were going to have to postpone their match after power was out at Molineaux for just over three hours, but power has been restored to the stadium and the game will be starting on time. There are not expected to be any further problems at the stadium. Here's the statement issued by the club.
Wolves Vs. QPR Is On After Power Issues Are Sorted At Molineaux
This afternoon’s game between Wolves and Queens Park Rangers is now set to go ahead after power was restored to Molineux.
We have been told by the electricity supplier that the restored power should be retained for the rest of the day to allow the game to go ahead.
Wolves are currently doing well in the table despite their loss to Tottenham Hotspur last week, while QPR and their new players have some serious work to do if they want to stay in the English Premier League. Whether or not this match constitutes a relegation six-pointer remains to be seen, but both teams probably see this match is one that they should get some points from.
