Swansea City Vs. West Bromwich Albion, 2011 Premier League: Hosts Earn First Premier League Win

Swansea City had worked very hard all season long without earning a win, and they started Saturday glued to the bottom of the table with two points from four games. Now they're in rather better shape, having smashed visiting West Bromwich Albion at the Liberty Stadium by three goals to none. The party started early, with Scott Sinclair converting a penalty earned when Joe Allen was felled by Baggies midfielder Paul Scharner.

Sinclair's spot kick was the first goal Swansea had scored in the top flight for almost thirty years, but they didn't have to wait nearly so long for their second - the former Chelsea man was involved in the second a few minutes later when his flick found Leroy Lita at the far post with Ben Foster helpless. The third would wait until after halftime, with Lita knocking the ball down for Nathan Dyer to finish, but that's goal drought and win drought both over for the Swans, who've already had to face Arsenal and Manchester City so far this season. Easier time are, no doubt, ahead.
