Chelsea are down on the scoreboard, but besides Manchester United's good (but offside) goal, the Blues have actually been playing some nice football. Despite the concerns of fans when the lineups came out pre-match, the midfield three of Raul Meireles, Frank Lampard and Ramires actually looks like an effective one. It's been a good battle in midfield, but they appear to be outplaying Anderson, Darren Fletcher and Wayne Rooney ever so slightly.
Manchester United Vs. Chelsea Live, 2011 Premier League: Blues Getting Into The Game
They've created a couple of decent chances between the 15th and 20th minutes, with Daniel Sturridge missing on a pretty audacious volley attempted and Lampard missing just wide on a much more realistic shot. Meireles, in particular, looks fantastic. He's passing the ball well and he looks as if he knows exactly when to get forward and when to stay back and mark Rooney.
An equalizer doesn’t look obviously imminent, but it certainly wouldn’t be surprising. Chelsea are playing some solid football.
