Bayern Munich Vs. Manchester City, 2011 UEFA Champions League: Lineups

Manchester City's UEFA Champions League credentials are about to face a major test with a visit to the Allianz Arena to face in-form Bundesliga side Bayern Munich, who may well be one of the two best teams in Europe right now. City, with pretensions of grandeur, could go a long way towards securing progress to the knock out rounds by beating Bayern on their own ground, but the Germans have conceded one goal all season - they're going to take some beating. Bayern's defence isn't at its best, however, thanks to an illness sidelining Holger Badstuber, and the quartet of Edin Dzeko, Sergio Afuero, David Silva and Samir Nasri are surely the most deadly attacking force they've seen so far this year.

Bayern Munich (4-2-3-1): Manuel Neuer; Philipp Lahm, Jerome Boateng, Daniel van Buyten, Rafinha; Bastian Schweinsteiger, Luiz Gustavo; Frank Ribery, Toni Kroos, Thomas Muller; Mario Gomez.

Substitutes: Hans-Jorg Butt, Diego Contento, Arjen Robben, Takashi Usami, David Alaba, Anatoliy Tymoshchuk, Nils Petersen.

Manchester City (4-2-3-1): Joe Hart; Gael Clichy, Kolo Toure, Vincent Kompany, Micah Richards; Gareth Barry, Yay Toure; David Silva, Samir Nasri, Sergio Aguero; Edin Dzeko.

Substitutes: Costel Pantilimon, Pablo Zabaleta, Joleon Lescott, Aleksandar Kolarov, James Milner, Nigel de Jong, Carlos Tevez.
