With Manchester City trailing Bayern Munich in the second half of their UEFA Champions League match, City manager Roberto Mancini asked his star striker Carlos Tevez to come on as a substitute. Tevez refused to go on. Since the acquisition of Sergio Aguero, Tevez has been relegated to a bench role, and he's obviously a bit unhappy. Mancini confirmed that Tevez refused to play and expressed his displeasure with the situation. Then, he dropped this bombshell.

City were willing to field offers for Tevez during the summer, but did not receive a concrete offer that met their valuation of the player. They were in negotiations with Brazilian club Corinthians, one of Tevez’s former clubs, but the deal ultimately fell through. Now, it seems as though the club will have to find some way to ship him out of town, regardless of whether or not they’re able to recoup his value. Obviously, there will be more to this story in the coming days.
