Greuther Fürth vs. Nürnberg: Final score 0-0, Fürth winless in eleven games

Fans were left wanting some offense as Fürth and Nürnberg played a scoreless draw.

Greuther Fürth and Nürnberg played to a scoreless draw which was enough for Nürnberg to pull themselves out of the relegation zone. Fürth are now winless in eleven games.

Fürth had the best opportunity in the early going of the contest, but Gerald Asamoah was unable to beat Raphael Schäfer on a one on one. Asamoah was clean through after a mistake by Javier Pinola, but Timm Klose cleared the ball after Schäfer’s save.

A few minutes later, Nürnberg were forced to play the remainder of the match a man down. Markus Feulner was shown a straight red after a bad challenge on Stephen Furstner. The sides were equal after the hour mark when Sercan Sararer was sent off for a bad foul on Pinola.

The majority of the match was played in the middle of the park as both sides struggled to create much offensively. Once Sararer was sent off, neither side generated anything resembling a competent attack.
