Borussia Mönchengladbach vs. Wolfsburg: Final score 2-0, Arango scores a brilliant goal in victory

Borussia Mönchengladbach received another spectacular goal from Juan Arango on their way to a victory over Wolfsburg.

After back to back poor performances, Borussia Mönchengladbach put together a solid 90 minutes and came away 2-0 victors over Wolfsburg.

Gladbach jumped out to an early lead after only 11 minutes. Juan Arango ripped a volley into the corner net to give them a 1-0 lead. The goal is Arango’s fourth of the season to go along with his four assists. Of course, it was a spectacular goal.

Wolfsburg struggled to really get going in the first half, and Gladbach made them pay for it just before the break. Arango headed on a corner from Håvard Nordtveit, and Tony Jantschke was on hand to poke it past Diego Benaglio for the 2-0 lead.

The visitors kept pushing for goals throughout the second half, but they were never able to beat Marc Andre ter Stegen. The match was big for Gladbach’s defense as it was only their third shutout on the season.

Gladbach moved up to 9th in the table on 20 points. With the loss, Wolfsburg are in 15th place just 3 points ahead of Hoffenheim outside of the relegation zone.
