Liverpool cannot get a win, or even a point right now, but that’s not the Reds’ fault. No, it is the fault of the cups and TV and the referees. Basically it is everyone’s fault except for anyone that has to do with the club because that is what accountability at Anfield is all about.
Liverpool’s Loss Is Everyone’s Fault Except Their Own According To Kenny Dalglish
“We looked a wee bit tired,” Dalglish said following the Reds’ 2-1 home loss to Wigan. “We gave the ball away quite a lot in vital positions and that’s not because the players can’t play it’s because of tiredness. You play on Sunday, Wednesday and Saturday and it is going to take its toll. We’ve not had enough players at our disposal to give them adequate rest. That’s the problem put on the club by the television schedule and the fact that we’ve done well in two cups.”
Sunday, Wednesday and Saturday matches? There are no big competitions that force weeks like that are there? Oh, the Champions League, that’s right. Okay, there are no big competitions that Liverpool has any interest in playing in, apparently, that would force such weeks.
Dalglish would then go on to blame the referee for waving off a goal for a handball and Joe Horncastle from Kent for not cheering hard enough so the players were not properly inspired. At no point is Liverpool responsible for losing at home to a relegation team, or blowing a 2-0 lead in 20 minutes at Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday, or the fact that after spending wildly for the last year, Dalglish's team are eight points closer to the bottom of the table than they are the top.
As you can see, Liverpool's losses are not the fault of anyone in King Kenny's Kingdom. The King has spoken!
