Supporters of Fulham and Manchester City will be irate that the Cottagers weren't awarded a penalty in the second half of their match against Manchester United, but the United supporters won't mind one bit. They were in control of the match throughout and created enough opportunities to score a half dozen goals, but they only put one into the net in a 1-0 win.

The one goal came in the 42nd minute on a corner routine that wasn't exactly pretty, but Fulham's defending was much worse. Antonio Valencia provided the ball into the box and Johnny Evans got on the end of it, hitting it back across the goal towards Wayne Rooney. His positioning was excellent and he smashed the ball into the back of the net for his 21st Premier League goal of the year.
Danny Murphy came on as a substitute for Fulham and appeared to draw a penalty to set up an equalizer in the 89th minute. Running onto a through ball by Bryan Ruiz, Murphy was clipped from behind in the penalty area by Michael Carrick. Referee Michael Oliver wasn't in a terrific position to see the tackle by Carrick and waived play on. Fulham wouldn't get a better chance in stoppage time as United held on for the win.
