Valencia have announced on their official website that Swansea have completed the signing of their Spanish winger Pablo Hernandez.

The 27-year-old should be a fine replacement for the outgoing Scott Sinclair, who is expected to join Manchester City. Swansea had made a previous bid of £4m, which was rejected, with Valencia manager Manuel Pellegrini stating he wished to keep hold of the player, but an increased offer, suggested to be around £5.5m, appears to have forced the Spanish club's hand. The winger has signed a three-year deal with the Swans.

Hernandez had long been linked with a move to the Premier League, and was previously rumoured to have attracted the interest of Liverpool and Manchester City.

The winger will at least not have to adjust to a new manager - he previously played under Swans boss Michael Laudrup when the two were at Getafe together. He will not feature in Swansea’s weekend fixture, and will be expected to make his debut after the international break.
