Clint Dempsey Undergoes Medical At Tottenham

Clint Dempsey is now attempting to secure a move to Tottenham as the transfer window enters it’s twilight hours.

Clint Dempsey is at Spurs Lodge and undergoing a medical as he tries to complete a last-minute move to the North Londoners.

In one of the more ridiculous transfer sagas of the day, Dempsey appeared to be going to Liverpool, until the deal mysteriously broke down. It was later reported by Sky Sports that the Reds had refused to offer any higher than £4m for the USA International, which caused the deal to break down as Fulham refused to accept their offer.

Now, however, the player is at Tottenham to have a medical and agree a contract before the window closes in an hour and a half. It is not yet known whether Fulham and Tottenham have agreed a fee for the player.

Dempsey was voted player of the year at Fulham last season after he became the first American to score 50 goals in the Premier League, but refused to sign a new contract last month.
