Bradford City vs. Aston Villa: Lineups

Bradford City begin the semifinal tie with Aston Villa looking to keep their magical run towards an improbably Wembley appearance going

Aston Villa may be in the midst of a relegation battle but for today, it's all about taking the first step towards a trip to Wembley and an unlikely place in the League Cup final. Paul Lambert, as you might expect, has put out a strong lineup with the chance to continue the one positive story live surrounding his side at the moment.

For League Two side Bradford City the attitude has to be something along the lines of "why not us?". They weren't supposed to beat Arsenal in the last round and despite the fact the home and home nature of the semifinal likely makes the task trickier, this side should be brimming with confidence and belief.

Bradford City starting lineup (4-4-2): Matt Duke; Stephen Darby, Carl McHugh, Rory McArdle, Curtis Good; Will Atkinson, Ritchie Jones, James Hanson, Nathan Doyle; Zavon Hines, Nahki Wells.

Aston villa starting lineup (4-4-2): Shay Given; Ciaran Clark, Joe Bennett, Nathan Baker, Matthew Lowton; Barry Bannan, Fabian Delph, Andreas Weimann, Charles N'Zogbia, Gabriel Agbonlahor, Christian Benteke.
