Tottenham Hotspur vs. Hull City: Preview and TV schedule

Hull City visit Tottenham Hotspur for the second time in four days on Wednesday, this time scrapping over a Capital One Cup quarterfinal spot.

André Villas-Boas must be sick of waking up to the sound of 'I Got You Babe' as he plays the starring role in Tottenham Hotspur's very own Groundhog Day, which sees Hull City visit White Hart Lane for the second time in four days on Wednesday. This time, though, the two sides are fighting over a place in the Capital One Cup quarterfinals rather than the more precious Premier League points.

When they met on the weekend it was Spurs who came out on top, though their 1-0 victory was hardly convincing. They have yet to seriously impress this season, and Hull will look to take advantage of any added League Cup apathy evident in their starting 11. However, Villas-Boas will likely field a rotated side, offering up the opportunity for the likes of Erik Lamela to stake their claim for a first team spot full time.

Étienne Capoue and Danny Rose will continue to miss out for the hosts, though it's Hull who have greater concerns on the injury front. Goalkeeper Allan McGregor, defenders James Chester and Abdoulaye Faye and attackers Sone Aluko and Danny Graham are still sidelined for the Tigers.

Tottenham Hotspur injuries and suspensions

Out: Étienne Capoue (ankle), Danny Rose (ankle). In doubt: None.

Hull City injuries and suspensions

Out: Allan McGregor (thigh), James Chester (hamstring), Abdoulaye Faye (knock), Sone Aluko (calf), Danny Graham (hamstring). In doubt: None.
