No matter how the sides line up, it’s not going to be a pretty match. Both teams absolutely must win it and both of coaches are at risk of getting the boot. Which means it will likely finish in an inspiring 0-0 draw.

To no one's surprise, it was an epically boring first half. Nothing happened. Ok, Marcelo Estigarribia had one long distance attempt after a quick counter attack that Christian Abbiati saved with a little help of the post, but that's it.
Thesecond half started off little more lively, thanks to both teams realizing that a mere point would do them no good. Milan pressed more, creating some chances. That also left more space for Chievo to counter attack. It resulted in both goalkeepers having more to do...primarily, having to field shots from distance.
The hosts had the first really big chance of the game in the 52nd minute, when Luca Rigoni somehow managed to hit the side netting from some 7 yards after Abbiati deflected a shot from Cyril Théréau's. Milan also had an incredible miss when, 10 minutes before the finish, Robinho, who came off from the bench, lost three Chievo defenders with a dribbling run. Just when it seemed easier to score than to miss from inside the box...he hit the post.
This spectacular match came to its logical conclusion by finishing 10 vs.10. Riccardo Montolivo was shown a second yellow for an unnecessary foul in Chievo's half of the pitch. Sergio Pelissier was sent off for protesting with the referee in the 90th. Excitement!
Milan still have no away wins and, in fact, have only three wins in total. They're 10th after 12 rounds, having picked up just 13 points...which is only three more than Catania, who sit 19th. It's really not going to be a fun few days for Massimiliano Allegri. Nor, really, for Giuseppe Sannino, as Chievo aren't in a much better situation, sitting dead last and likely already preparing for a spell in Serie B.
