Shola Ameobi earns a surprise start for Newcastle as they host Chelsea at St. James’ Park, while Jose Mourinho names Juan Mata in his lineup.
Alan Pardew has usually been starting Yoann Gouffran as the team's main striker, with Loic Remy on the left, but now both have been pushed out to the wings with Ameobi coming into the centre. Mike Williamson also returns to the team after a brief run for youngster Paul Dummett.
Chelsea, meanwhile, opt to include Juan Mata in their team with Oscar and Eden Hazard, while Frank Lampard and Ramires continue in midfield. Fernando Torres is preferred to Samuel Eto'o up front, while John Terry starts in defence.
