Arsenal were left dreading their Champions League group stage campaign when the draw was made, but so far, so good for the Gunners. They sit top of the group of death heading into the fifth matchday, and could guarantee their place in the knockout stages with a win over Marseille on Tuesday.
Arsenal vs. Marseille: Preview and TV schedule
Arsenal could seal their place in the Champions League knockout stages with a victory over Marseille, providing other results go their way.
If the Gunners do manage to beat Marseille, they just need Napoli to take points from Borussia Dortmund to progress. Given that Marseille are currently rock bottom of the group after losing all four of their matches, Arsenal really should be able to hold up their end of the bargain.
However, Arsène Wenger does still have some injury concerns to contend with. Yaya Sanogo, Lukas Podolski, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Abou Diaby are all still unavailable. Marseilla will have to do without some of their own first team regulars, with Dimitri Payet, André Ayew and Rod Fanni all sidelined with injuries.
Arsenal injuries and suspensions
Out: Yaya Sanogo (back), Lukas Podolski (hamstring), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (knee), Abou Diaby (knee). In doubt: None.
Marseille injuries and suspensions
Out: Dimitri Payet (knee), André Ayew (knee), Rod Fanni (muscle). In doubt: None.
